How do I know the BioWallet app is safe? In other words, where is my info being stored? How do I know I'm not just giving you all my passwords, credit card numbers, etc.?

Encryption should allow folder encryption. And also it should encrypt faster. I encrypted a 50mb file and it took like 3 minutes.

About folder encryption: yes, that seems an interesting feature. I think it will be included in our roadmap.

About the encryption speed: maybe the current algorithm we are using is too complex. We could use a simpler and faster algorithm (but secure enough) and let the user choose.

What does Biowallet use for encryption: Blowfish, DES, RC4, etc?

Also, what is the bit depth: 128/256/512/1024 ?

Tnx.

BioWallet doe not recognize my signature. Fortunately, I've activated the password feature and can use it as a workaround. But would like option to reenter my signature and test it (without having to uninstall, reinstall and set up signature again.
Answer

Starting 0.4.0 version, you can restart the enrollment process using the option "Settings / Register your signature again".

The import/export process really needs to be more friendly. Thought I was exporting my authentication signature AND the data I've added. Could the key be stored somewhere to smooth this process, or does that violate all efforts at making this secure?

Also, my personal data was not exported. Only the files I had specifically added. Would be nice if my personal data was included in the process. I don't like having to re-enter who I am each time I reinstall or move my data to another device. Isn't it a goal of this app to store my personal data for me?

We are afraid you should re-train the signature recognition process if you change your phone because different devices could capture different data with your same signature (i.e.: the Samsung Galaxy touchscreen is much less sensitive than the HTC ones and captures less control points). If you train the process with one device and then you want to use a different one to log in, there is a high risk you won't be recognized.

Saving the personal data or preferences is an interesting feature and it could probably be implemented in future releases.

The data could be kept secure if we prompt the user for an "export password" and encrypt all the exported data with it. Then during the import process the user must enter it again to decrypt the data.

This may seem like a silly question, but I cannot figure this out.

I'm on a Motorola Droid Turbo using Biowallet 1.8.2 and would like to export my data for backup purposes, but I cannot figure out how to do it. There are no menu options, or buttons other than Encrypt, Add record, Explorer and Search.

I'm also currently only using a signature to sign in with and I'd like to add a password option since the password sometimes doesn't take for several tries.

I know in previous versions, on my old phone which was a Samsung Galaxy S3 I was able to do this, in fact that's how I got my data on to the Turbo.

What am I missing here?

Thanks!

The Credit Card Date feature is off... January is shown as 00 instead of 01. Therefore when you want to pick Sept. it is shown as 08 instead of 09. And is you want to use December you are screwed! Maybe when choosing the date it would be better to just use the numbers instead of the words of the month (since that is all the credit cards use anyways... Also there is no need for an actual day since you don't really need to know that.

Other than that this looks like a really good app! and I will probably be using it!

This bug is already fixed and it will be available in the next release of the app.

The credit card record has been re-designed. You can see the new interface here : http://www.youtube.com/user/biowallet#p/a/u/0/wJi5_6Modu4

Thanks for the feedback.
